The FCEI’s Lebanon appeal which we referred all our members to has raised 18.000 euro in just a few days. To this sum the protestant churches have added a further 50.000. In the press release of 17th September there is a formal expression of gratitude of the Federation of Evangelical churches in Italy and information on the destination of the funds raised.

Many people are asking us how they can help Beirut. To date 220 dead, 7000 injured and 3000 families left homeless. Among the various appeals we would like to highlight the project ‘Mediterranean Hope’ launched by the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy (FCEI). This project has been working with the Humanitarian Corridor since 2016 and provides medical support for refugees who through lack of funds are denied access to healthcare. The funds raised will be used for hospitals, medical interventions, economic aid for families in need and to support local organisations with the distribution of meals.
The link will give you eyewitness accounts of the current situation in Beirut and details of how to make your donations directly to the FCEI.
