This is something that can happen when a family is in great need. They live in Ain El-Hilweh, a difficult camp, the largest, the most crowded and the least harmonious of them all, due  to the presence of various political groups that are often in conflict with one another.  The camp is often in the local news for incidents of  disorderly behaviour and fights, at times violent. The three children supported by Magda, Antonella and Mimma are 12, 8 and 4 years old. The oldest girl writes all the letters and sends drawings and collages.  We pass these on to the families who sponsor them as we like to encourage this relationship, though since we started supporting this children, in late 2018, it has become more time-consuming. As our social workers tell us again and again when we ask to communicate via email, letters have a special warmth of their own...
