A musical education project, begun 6 years ago, which involves 140 children and young people from Burj al Shemali and El Buss camps (Tyr, Lebanon). The project continues thanks to the  support from the Waldensian Evangelical Church. It guarantees the students continuity  in lessons with qualified tutors  and an increasing collection of instruments.  Of considerable importance are the contributions of the social workers of ASSUMOUD and the  International volunteer teachers that ULAIA invites to work alongside the local professors, in particular during the summer months when there are classes every day. If you are interested in volunteering in 2018, please send your applications to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.,  attaching your CV.

The “Musictherapy” course run by Prima Materia is nearing the end. The discipline is currently being used by 5 family counselling centres of ASSUMOUD for the treatment of children with a range of problems. The completion of a 4 year course of study that Bands without Borders is funding for a Palestinian psychologist to obtain a diploma in Music therapy in Italy,  scheduled for 2018,  will guarantee the autonomy for our NGO partner in  both the training of new practitioners and the updating of existing therapists.
