‘A totally avoidable economic crisis created by man’ : This is in the words of the special rapporteur of the UN in their report  of 11th April 2022 on Poverty and Human Rights following their visit to Lebanon. The report reviews all  the social strata: women, children, immigrants, Palestinian and Syrian refugees and the disabled.  It goes on to specify the responsibility, with no exceptions and indicates the priorities to the government. A summary of the known facts which reading them together reminds us of the gravity of a  desperate and dangerously explosive situation.
